Christmas fever + ramblings

You're not getting sick of my endless stream of Christmasness??? I'm sorry, I can't help it. There's so much gorgeousness out there. I just feel a bit sad that I can't really immerse myself in it at the moment - why is that work gets crazy just before the holidays? But anyway - how adorable is that amoire - just buy a few paper doilies and trim away!

A new take on a Christmas tree... easy for the kids to decorate!

Anyone stuck on what to buy their partner for Christmas? Ben is so impossible to buy for. I know he'd much rather me just make his lunch each day for work rather than spend lots of money on him. I've already embroided him a poem a couple of weeks ago, then I made him cute optical-art I posted earlier this month.... I'm running out of creative ideas when it comes to him!!

What are doing for the special people in your life?

  2. Love that wooden tree for something different. What pretty decorations. I find my husband Paul so impossibly difficult to buy for too. In years gone past, we haven't bought each other presents but gone on a trip to Sydney instead and bought something together for our house while we've been on holidays.

  3. Men are hard to buy gifts for. My husband likes to recieve random hunks of metal that I find at estate sales. His favorite gift was an old anvil. I love the idea of giving gifts at Christmas but don't like the pressure to find something specifically on a certain date. I like to pick things up for people throughout the year as I find them.

    Love your blog!

  4. I also am suffering from Christmas fever! Christmas music is always on, the scent of fresh pine fills the air and the stockings hang on the mantel. Charming post!

  5. I have just discovered the joy of sewing/creating with felted wool...holy cow! how did I miss this? I'm now addicted to scouring for old wool sweaters...and happily spending every day working on Christmas gifts. Wool hats, gloves, snugglies...you name it. I am sure I am getting more out of it than the receivers...smiles.
